Yakobovich Condos of Wai'ula'ula

Lawrence Rockefeller founded the Mauna Kea Resort in 1965 with a great vision of utilizing one of the most beautiful sites in all of Hawaii. The two beautiful beaches, which are consistently ranked as some of the best in the world by top travel magazines, the seaside tennis courts and the two championship golf courses, the original Mauna Kea done by Robert Trent Jones and the more recent Hapuna, done by Arnold Palmer allowed many generations to enjoy his vision. There are two hotels on property with many restaurants to choose from, the original Mauna Kea and the more recent Hapuna Prince. In Mr Rockefeller's research he also looked for the best weather in Hawaii which the Kohala Coast has with over 350 sunny days per year and very little rain. Luxury is synonymous with the Mauna Kea name and our new residences allow you to experience this to it's fullest. They offer panoramic ocean and sunset views year round from the great room, master bedrooms, kitchen, and covered lanai. All facilities at the Mauna Kea resort are available to our guests on the same basis as a hotel guest which offers full access and discounts on some services that a hotel guest enjoys. All decorated selected furnishings are new and offer you plasma TV viewing with DVR capability and wireless Internet to stay in touch with office and home. The above picture is an actual vista from one of our residences. The historic Mauna Kea has been revitalized by Rees Jones as part of a sweeping $175 million dollar renovation of the Mauna Kea hotel and golf course on the big island of Hawaii. Rees Jones, son the original golf course architect is a leader in golf course design. His work includes 7 US Open venues, 15 PGA Championship courses and 4 Ryder Cupsites. He envisions a comprehensive upgrade to USGA standards together with a newly opened club house and restaurant.
By the end of 2013, the Mauna Kea Hotel will also have finished a remodel of its Plumeria Wing, including a new casual restaurant, Kauna'oa.
